This study makes Romanias largely unknown Joycean heritage visible to an international readership. Examining the shift from hostility to hospitality, it combines history of literature with critical theory and translation studies. It focuses on Joyces critical reception, translation, and influence on Romanian literature from the inter-war period to the present.
