The book traces mathematics in the Polish lands from the 10th century AD to the present, highlighting the National Education Commission (1773-1794), the partition era in the 19th and early 20th centuries, the interwar Polish School of Mathematics, wartime catastrophe, and the arduous post-war renewal. Richly illustrated and rigorously documented.
